Agnes Su, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and aspiring Folklorist, lives in the forests of northern Michigan. She began her career in music when she was five years old by studying and performing with the Grand Rapids Strings Academy. She was invited to play traditional music with the Michigan band HAMMER’d, and has played with them for four years.

Agnes Su has also worked with Hawks and Owls string band and Major Murphy, and over the past year, has shifted her focus to writing her own songs.

When Agnes is not playing music you will likely find her reading, engaged in traditional crafts, sharing stories with friends, tending flowers in her garden, or sharing her love of music history on the Folk Aire program of her local college radio station where she has been working as a DJ since age thirteen.Most of all, Agnes is a gal with a country western heart.
